Personal Imaging Consultation

Have you ever wished you could understand the images on that CD your imaging center gave you?* Have you been thoroughly confused as your doctor blurted out medical terminology while randomly scrolling through your last MRI? Have you wondered what the radiologist who interpreted your scan even looks like?

If this sounds like you, then you should consider scheduling a personal imaging consultation with one of our on-site radiologists.

Most imaging consultations take between 30-60 minutes and are currently only offered on-site and are only available via Self-Pay options.

Here is what you normally can expect from an Imaging Consultation.

  • Your radiologist reviews any prior imaging you may have with you. Any prior reports are reviewed and uploaded to our systems.
    • If bringing multiple studies, please send them ahead of time or drop them off with medical records in person to have uploaded and ready for your appointment.
  • Your radiologist presents your most recent scan or an older scan that you may have questions about.
  • Your radiologist will help you learn the basics of image interpretation for your particular scan and help you bridge your understanding between what your symptoms are, what your physician has said, and what your scans show.
  • You will spend time in the “hotseat,” scrolling through your study with the guidance of the radiologist to learn the basic controls and how to manipulate your images.
  • After your appointment, your radiologist generates a report that goes over the topics of discussion he/she had with you. You may use the report to present to your physician or other provider in the future.
