Barium / Gastrografin Enema (duration 80 mins)
Prep: NPO after midnight. Must get prep kit the day before the exam.

Barium Swallow / Esophogram (duration 30 mins)
Prep: NPO 2 hours.

Catheter Patency Test / Portogram (duration 30 mins)
Prep: The patient arrives with a needle/port pre-inserted for this exam.

Hysterosalpingnogram - HSG (duration 40 mins)
Prep: Patient may take Tylenol 1 hour before coming in to helpwith cramps. Must be scheduled within two days from when the patient stops bleeding.

IVP (Intravenuol Pyelogram) (duration 60 mins)
Prep: NPO after midnight, patient should use laxative night before.

Lumbar Puncture (duration 80 mins)
Prep: NPO after midnight, 3-4 hour stay after procedure. Patient will need driver to go home after procedure and remain laying flat rest of the day. If patient is over 65 years of age or is on blood thinners, we will need a copy of PT, PTT, INR labs recently done.

Myelogram (duration 40 - 60 mins)
Prep: NPO 8 hours, 3-4 hour stay after procedure. Patient will need driver to go home after procedure and remain laying flat rest of the day. If patient is over 65 years of age or is on blood thinners, we will need a copy of PT, PTT, INR labs recently done.

Small Bowl Series (duration 60 mins)
Prep: NPO after midnight.

Upper GI (duration 45 mins)
Prep: NPO for 8 hours.

Other X-ray and Fluoroscopy (duration 5 - 60 mins)
Prep: No prep.

(NPO means the patient should not eat or drink anything for the period advised by their physician.)
