MRI ABD Without Contrast (duration 40 mins)
Prep: NPO 3 hours. MRI cannot be done on patients with metal, piercings, clips, pacemakers or defibrillators.
MRA Abdomen (duration 50 mins)
Prep: NPO 3 hours. MRI cannot be done on patients with metal, piercings, clips, pacemakers or defibrillators.
All Other MRIs and MRAs (duration 30-60 mins)
Prep: MRI cannot be done on patients with metal, piercings, clips, pacemakers or defibrillators.
(NPO means the patient should not eat or drink anything for the period advised by their physician.)
